The Struggle Was Real
I used to have serious problems sticking with healthy diets. Every time I started a diet, I'd abandon it halfway because I didn't enjoy the food, I struggled with discipline, and it felt super hard. Sound familiar? I bet many Malaysians face the same problem. We're told to eat bland, boring "diet food" while our amazing local cuisine sits there, calling our names.
The Game-Changing Discovery
Then I discovered the calorie deficit approach. I realized I could still eat my favorite Malaysian food as long as my daily intake stayed within limits. I started tracking with MyFitnessPal, but it was frustrating—most Malaysian dishes weren't in their database. But the principle worked! Consistency built habits. I started with simple brisk walking—from 2,000 steps to 6,000, then consistently over 10,000 steps daily.
The Mission
Malaysian food is the best food in the world. It's a shame if we can't enjoy the food we love in our diet. We just need to be clever with how we manage our food. I believe there are thousands of Malaysians like me who failed because they didn't enjoy their food. SiFit is built to help us stay healthy while enjoying every bite of our amazing local cuisine.
